Meet the Designer

I’ve always been the “I’ll make it myself” kind of girl. From costumes to crafts and anything in between, the simplest way to put it is: I love to create! Colors, patterns, fabrics, and textures have mixed and married in my mind as far back as I can remember. In November of 2021, my good friend and now business partner came to me and said, “I love all the things you make and wear around the stadium…would you be able to design a few beaded straps for gifts?” I sat down that same night, created my first three strap designs, and I sent them off to be made. When those straps came back looking exquisite and unique to everything else available, my friend said, “What else can you do,” and I replied, “Girl, my head might explode with ideas!” That conversation lit fire to the spark that always burned in my mind, and JayJo Designs, named for the husband and daughter I would upend my life and work countless hours to honor, was born. Each strap, bag, bracelet and collection item on this site is my custom design, and I hope you love them just as much as I love making them.
